Ubiquiti UniFi

SOFTWARE-DEFINED NETWORKING

Gateway, switching, Wi-Fi, VPN and cameras under one controller — with the segmentation a modern office actually needs.

Most small-business networks grew by accident: a router from the internet provider, an unmanaged switch someone bought in a hurry, and access points added one at a time as the dead spots were discovered. Everything sits on one flat network, and the printer can talk to the accounting server.

UniFi replaces that with a designed network you can see and change from one place. Gateway, switches, access points, VPN, and optionally cameras and door access, all managed from a single controller — on-premises or in the cloud — with no per-access-point subscription to renew.

WHAT WE DO

WHERE IT PAYS OFF

Offices with guests and IoT

Visitors, staff, and every connected device that shipped with questionable firmware — separated properly rather than sharing one password and one subnet.

Growing past consumer gear

When the mesh kit from the electronics shop stops coping, UniFi is the natural next step without an enterprise price tag or a licensing contract.

Several locations

Branches, a warehouse, a second clinic — configured the same way and visible from one screen, with tunnels between them.

Cyber-insurance questionnaires

Segmentation, logging and controlled remote access are on nearly every form now. A designed network makes those answers true instead of aspirational.

Straight talk

UniFi is excellent value and genuinely capable, but it is not a Cisco or Palo Alto replacement for every requirement. If you need deep-packet inspection at multi-gigabit line rate, a formal support contract with a four-hour hardware SLA, or a specific compliance certification, we will tell you where the line is and what the alternative costs. The hardware is only half the job in any case — a well-designed network on modest kit beats expensive kit plugged in badly, every time.

WHY PACKED APPS

We install networks that other people have to live with, so we document them: VLAN numbers, IP plan, firewall rules, port assignments, and where the cables actually go. If you part ways with us, everything you need is written down.

The network is also the foundation everything else stands on. Virtual desktops are unusable across a badly designed one, and a private cloud or a Proxmox cluster needs proper segmentation and enough bandwidth between hosts. We design them as one system.
